Title: Senior Electrical Controls Engineer
Location: Naperville, IL
Develop and maintain electrical control systems for solid dosage processing equipment in a manner consistent with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
-Create P&ID, electrical, and pneumatic drawings to design control software systems per industry standard practices.
-Specify components and generate bills of material in automated systems.
-Work with mechanical, software, and field engineers to ensure correct system design and implementation.
-Supervise the design, assembly, and testing of custom designed automated systems.
-Create and execute Control System Validation (I/O checks, safety functional checks, etc.).
-Provide phone and limited on-site technical support for customers and field engineers.
-Create, maintain, and review documentation provided to the customer and the sales team.
-Assist customers with installation and set-up of automated systems as requested. Some traveling may be required.
Key Skills and Experience Desired:
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer / Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experience.
-Applicants should have 3+ years of experience in Electrical Schematic Design.
-Strong "hands-on" electrical system design and troubleshooting experience with the ability to integrate electrical components into panel layout designs.
-Experience with AutoCAD, preferably AutoCAD Electrical.
-Understanding of power and safety requirements in electrical panel design.
-Experience working within National Electrical Codes and Electrical Standards for Industrial Machinery
-Ability to work on multiple projects without sacrificing project quality.
-Work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently.
-Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software.
-Experience with CE and/or ATEX standards
-Experience in tuning closed loop PID control systems.
-Experience with Virtual Machines.
-Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
