Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: State College, PA
Salary: $55K - $65K
Requirements: Engineering degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering or related field / Knowledge of Six Sigma/Statistics and/or LEAN Manufacturing a plus / Experience with Minitab, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access / Experience working in a manufacturing environment (Helpful)
What Will You Be Doing:
- Lead in quality issue resolution both internally with manufacturing processes and in external customer reported issues
- Assist and lead manufacturing personnel in process/equipment problem solving and attainment of production goals
- Assist and participate in ISO certifications
- Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure the consistency and reliability of piezoceramic components
- Maintain product/process specification and procedures
- Maintain effective cost reduction programs via process/product modifications and development
- Provide expedient reaction to problems with root cause analysis, containment actions, corrective actions and preventative actions
- Collaborate with and operators, technicians and other personnel to optimize processes
- Review proposals of outside vendors regarding the purchase of new production/processing equipment
