Position Overview
The Not for Profit Audit Manager is responsible for overseeing audit engagements for nonprofit organizations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards. This role emphasizes strategic thinking and leadership, aiming to enhance client service while fostering professional growth within the audit team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead audit engagements for nonprofit clients, ensuring adherence to GAAP and GAAS standards.
  • Manage and mentor audit staff, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute audit plans, including risk assessments and resource allocation.
  • Review and evaluate financial statements for accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide exceptional client service, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Implement audit methodologies and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with teams in both virtual and on-site settings to drive project completion and client satisfaction.
  • Utilize audit software and Microsoft Office Suite to prepare reports and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of audit experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and applicable regulations.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to think strategically and plan effectively for audit engagements.
