Position Overview
The Head of AI will lead the development and implementation of advanced AI strategies and solutions within the healthcare sector. This role is critical in driving innovation and utilizing AI technologies to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and overall healthcare services. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of generative AI, machine learning, and natural language processing, along with strong leadership skills to manage a dynamic team of AI professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the AI strategy aligned with the company's healthcare objectives.
Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and AI engineers in the implementation of AI solutions.
Oversee the research and development of generative AI applications to enhance service delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI integration in healthcare operations.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards in AI applications.
Manage AI projects from conception through deployment, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
Evaluate and implement new AI technologies and tools, including AWS, to enhance operational capabilities.
Drive knowledge sharing and training within the organization regarding AI advancements and applications.

Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in AI/ML roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven expertise in natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) methodologies.
Experience in the healthcare industry is highly preferred.
Strong programming skills in Python, with familiarity in related AI frameworks.
Knowledge of generative AI techniques and large language models (LLMs).
Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS.
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
