We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney with a strong background in both bankruptcy and transactional law to handle a broad range of complex commercial cases. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage challenging cases, work with cross-functional teams, and provide strategic legal counsel to clients in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Represent clients in commercial litigation matters, including bankruptcy, restructuring, and insolvency cases.
-Handle complex legal disputes related to business contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and other commercial transactions.
-Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
-Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies, conduct legal research, and prepare for trial.
-Provide counsel on transactional matters, including the legal implications of corporate transactions, debt restructuring, and bankruptcy proceedings.
-Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
-Stay current on relevant legal trends, case law, and industry developments.
Qualifications:
-Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
-3+ years of experience in commercial litigation with a focus on bankruptcy and transactional law.
-Strong understanding of bankruptcy law, including Chapter 11 reorganizations, Chapter 7 liquidations, and insolvency-related disputes.
-Ability to handle complex legal issues with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Admission to the Illinois State Bar.
