Position Overview
We are an established and growing marketing, communications and PR agency seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our finance and operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accounts payable, billing/invoicing, payroll, and various accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting and coding of billable/non-billable expense reports. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, vendor management, and ensuring invoices go out.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform monthly billing batches, processing and generating then distributing accurate invoices for clients.
• Code, record payments for monthly invoices. review and code agency and client payables.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records, monthly balance sheets.
• Assist with accounts payable, including vendor management and tracking expenses. Post AR deposits for agency.
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and expense reports, for management review.
• Utilize accounting software (Advantage) to maintain accurate financial data and records.
• Support operational functions within the finance department as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in accounting, billing, in an agency environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, AP/AR, payroll, expense reports, reconciliations, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, Advantage system experience preferred.
• Experience with coding, billing, invoicing required.
